By trade I am a family nurse practitioner. By nature, a writer and healer. First and foremost I'm the mother of two children and I feel most at home with mountains in view, ponds nearby and a pen in hand.

Born and raised in Bayside, Queens (New York), I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Pace University, and my Master of Science from the Lienhard School of Nursing, Pace University. In 1983 I began my practice as a family nurse practitioner.

By 1994 my husband and I chose trees and earth over apartment buildings and concrete. We moved to Dutchess County in an effort to raise our children closer to nature. In 1996 I was invited to read my stories about Marcy to second graders in Pawling Elementary School, Dutchess County, New York, and have been doing so ever since.
