In a day and age when bullying and disruption seem to have reached epidemic proportions in our public schoolyards and classrooms, building personal self-esteem in our young people seems to be the logical intervention. Second graders are the perfect age group to target when we initiate this effort. These easy to read short stories continue to reinforce the learning established as the children move on to third, fourth and fifth grade.

For your convenience, two sections have been created to assist in the choosing of stories to target specific issues: A Situation and Lesson Guide for Teachers & Parents, and Stories #1-21 in Brief. In addition, there are Suggested Activities that offer ideas to reinforce and enhance the learning experience.
